Terms of Use for Handyman Tools

The app contains calculators, reference tables and tools for tradespeople and DIYers. All results — quantities, costs, labour time, mileage rates, tax and reports — are estimates based on what you enter and on assumptions shown in the app (waste, product data, suggested rates). Always check against drawings, manufacturer instructions and applicable codes and regulations.

The app is not engineering, structural design, electrical design, legal advice or tax/accounting advice. Work that requires professional qualifications or a licence (for example electrical installations, structural work and wet rooms) must be done and checked by a qualified professional under the applicable rules.

All calculators, projects and the shopping list are free. We may change, add or remove features to improve the app.

• Pro is a monthly auto-renewing subscription. Price: $3.99 per month in the U.S. (NOK 49 in Norway) (may vary by country and is always shown before purchase).
• New subscribers may get a 7-day free trial. Unless cancelled, the trial converts to a paid subscription.
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Manage or cancel the subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Refunds and withdrawal rights are handled by Apple or Google under their terms and applicable consumer law.
• When the subscription ends, your data stays in the app and remains viewable, but Pro features are locked.
• We may change the price. The App Store / Google Play will notify you before a price increase takes effect, under their rules.

What you enter is yours and is stored on your device (see the Privacy Policy). You are responsible for backups — use the backup feature in the app. If you enter information about customers, you are responsible for having the right to do so. Documents you create (estimates, invoice summaries, etc.) are yours; you are responsible for their content and for meeting any rules that apply to you.

You may not copy, resell, decompile or circumvent payment for the app, except as permitted by law.

The app is provided "as is". We do our best to make the calculations sensible, but do not warrant that results are error-free or fit for your purpose. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profit, incorrect orders, errors in estimates or damage resulting from the use of results from the app. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the preceding twelve months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app or on this page. By continuing to use the app after the changes take effect, you accept them.

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. As a consumer you may also have rights under the law of the country where you live.
