Privacy Policy for Handyman Tools
Last updated: September 28, 2026
01Information stored only on your device
Calculations, projects, shopping lists, notes, time, mileage, expenses, prices, your company profile (name, contact details and logo) and any customer names and addresses you enter are stored only locally in the app. We have no access to this information, and it is not sent to us or anyone else. It is deleted when you delete the app.
If you enter information about your customers, you are responsible for having the right to store it.
02When information leaves your device — because you choose to
Backups, estimates, invoice summaries, order lists and reports are created on your phone and shared only where you choose (for example email, Files or a cloud service). The terms of that service then apply.
03Subscription (Handyman Tools Pro)
Purchases and payment are handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your card details.
To know whether your Pro subscription is active, we use RevenueCat, Inc. RevenueCat processes a random user ID that is not linked to your name or email, receipts and purchase history for the subscription, price, currency, country, device type, operating-system and app version, and IP address. The purpose is to provide and restore your subscription. The legal basis is that this is necessary to perform our contract with you (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)). RevenueCat processes this data on our behalf as a processor.
04App updates
When the app starts, it checks for bug-fix updates through Expo's (650 Industries, Inc.) EAS Update service. The request contains technical information such as IP address, platform and app version. The purpose is to keep the app up to date and secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)). No content from the app is sent.
05What we don't do
There is no login, no analytics or advertising tools, no tracking across apps and websites, and we do not sell personal information. The app does not ask for access to your location, camera, contacts, microphone or photo library. You pick a logo or a backup yourself using your phone's file picker.
06Transfers outside the EEA/UK
RevenueCat and Expo are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (and the UK extension).
07Retention
Information on your device is kept until you delete it or the app. Subscription records at RevenueCat are kept as long as needed to provide the subscription and to meet accounting obligations, and then deleted.
08Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing. Most of the data is fully under your control in the app. To have us delete subscription records at RevenueCat, contact hei@appivate.com. You may complain to your data protection authority (in Norway: Datatilsynet; in the UK: the ICO).
California and Canada residents: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we collect only the purchase information described above. You can request access or deletion via hei@appivate.com; we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
09Children
The app is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information about children.
10Changes
We update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
